Tender Description

The Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB), under the Ministry of Water Resources, invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the package titled Rehabilitation of Flood Control Embankment, Sylhet-Sunamganj.

The procuring entity intends to apply funds from Government of Bangladesh (GoB) — Revenue Budget towards payments under the contract. Bidding will be conducted through the Invitation for Tender (IFT) — Open Competitive Bidding procedure as specified in the Public Procurement Rules, 2008 (PPR 2008) and is open to all eligible bidders.

Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the office of the BWDB Procurement Cell during office hours (09:00–17:00, Sunday to Thursday). A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ৳3,000.

Eligibility & Requirements

  • Class A registered contractor with ≥5 years construction experience in Bangladesh
  • Valid trade license & TIN/BIN certificate
  • Minimum 3 similar contracts completed in last 5 years
  • Average annual turnover ≥ ৳5.10 Cr
  • Bid security (EMD) of ৳6.8 Lakh in pay-order/bank guarantee form
  • No on-going litigation with Government of Bangladesh
